Our Work

From Old to Beautiful... Our restoration and refurbishment process involves lot of care & patience, working as a part of team to produce stunning results. A few examples are below!

Our work has a number of strands:

– Refurbishing items of furniture for resale, thus preventing them going to landfill
– Working with individuals, Young People and Young Adults, who struggle academically, helping them to develop their work and employability skills, hence moving them closer to the workplace.
– Supporting our local Community through the provision of cost – effective furnishings.
– Encouraging recycling in all areas of our community.
– We also plan to develop a work program for those suffering from mild Mental Ill Health, or Social Isolation, which will allow them to grow in confidence and help move them closer to work.

Refurbishment

Some items of furniture we receive have had a hard life and are in need of some TLC to bring them back to life and to prevent them from lbeing simply dumped in Landfill.

We carry out any necessary repairs or restoration work in our Workshop, allowing the young people to learn further skills and assisting them to develop a more enhanced sense of responsibility.

Our restorations bring out the beauty of items which have suffered significant wear and tear, hence returning them to useable, beautiful items of furniture.

We develop and restore individuals’ confidence in their own ability to undertake work and employment, by developing their confidence to build community networks, thus allowing them to play an active part in community life.
